Supported platforms

Mirgent connects to 19 social networks. Below are the major platforms currently supported.

Twitter / X

Schedule tweets, threads, and replies. Monitor keywords and engage leads.

Instagram

Schedule feed posts, Reels previews, and carousel drafts.

LinkedIn

Post to personal profiles and company pages.

YouTube

Schedule video descriptions and community posts.

Connecting via OAuth

All platforms connect securely via OAuth 2.0. Mirgent never stores your passwords.

1

Open Settings Profiles

Click Add Profile and select the platform you want to connect.

2

Authorize on the platform

You will be redirected to the platform login. Sign in and click Authorize.

3

Done

The profile is now connected. Manage permissions and disconnect at any time.

RSS feeds

Connect any RSS feed to automatically generate posts when new content is published.

Go to Settings Integrations RSS and paste your feed URL. Mirgent checks for new items every hour.

Tip

Combine RSS with an AI agent to automatically write platform-specific posts for each new article.

Zapier integration

Connect Mirgent to 5000+ apps via Zapier for use cases like posting when a new product is added to Shopify.

Find the Mirgent app in the Zapier marketplace and use the Create Post action.

Managing connections

All connected profiles and integrations are listed under Settings Integrations.

Troubleshooting common connection problems

Most connection issues fall into one of these four buckets. Diagnose in this order to save time.

  • 'Session expired' notification — your platform login timed out (Twitter every 30 days, LinkedIn every 90 days, others vary). Open the platform tab, log back in normally, refresh Mirgent dashboard. Mirgent's session detection picks up the new login automatically.
  • 'Job stuck in processing' — usually means Chrome closed mid-job. Reopen Chrome, wait 60 seconds, the extension picks up where it left off. If still stuck after 6 hours, the job auto-fails with a clear error and you can retry manually from the calendar.
  • 'Captcha encountered' — platform is rate-limiting you (or detected unusual login pattern). Solve the captcha manually in your platform tab. Mirgent will detect that you're authenticated again and resume. Frequent captchas mean you're posting too fast for the platform's tolerance — slow down your job cadence.
  • 'Platform UI changed, automation failed' — happens when a platform releases a major redesign. Mirgent's automated DOM probe usually catches and fixes this within 24-48 hours. Update the extension when prompted; jobs that failed during the gap can be re-queued from the calendar.

Pre-launch integration checklist

Before you publish your first scheduled post, run through this checklist to avoid first-day surprises.

  1. Verify each platform shows green-dot Connected

Settings → Profiles. Every platform you intend to post to should have a green-dot Connected indicator. Yellow = needs re-auth; red = failed. Resolve all yellows/reds before scheduling.

  2. Test-post to each platform with low-stakes content

Schedule a single test post (e.g. 'Hello from Mirgent') 5 minutes in the future on each connected platform. Wait for it to publish; verify it appears on the platform natively. Delete the test post afterward.

  3. Configure failure notifications

Settings → Notifications. Enable email alerts for: job failure, session expired, daily cap reached. Without these, silent failures pile up and you find out about a stuck queue 3 days later.

Integrations FAQ

Why does Mirgent need a Chrome extension instead of API tokens?

Three reasons: (1) Many platforms (Threads, Substack, Hashnode, Quora, Tumblr, Blogger) have no public posting API or shut their developer programs. Browser-session posting works on every platform that has a UI. (2) API rate limits are 10-100× lower than human-user limits. (3) No OAuth maintenance burden — sessions persist for weeks/months without re-approval dialogs.

Can I use Mirgent on Brave / Edge / Firefox?

Brave and Edge: yes (Chromium-based, install the same extension). Firefox: not yet — the extension uses Chrome-specific APIs. Firefox support is on the 2026 roadmap. Safari: not yet (Apple's WebExtension model differs significantly; lower priority).

Does each connected platform count toward my plan limit?

Yes. Free = 1 connected platform, Creator = 3, Pro = 10, Agency = all 19. Connecting a platform doesn't mean you have to post to it; the limit is on simultaneously-active connections. You can disconnect and reconnect freely as your usage shifts.

How do I connect platforms to specific clients (agency use)?

Agency plan unlocks workspace-per-client. Each workspace has its own platform connections, calendar, brand context, and approval queue. Switch between client workspaces from the dashboard top-bar; your team members can have access scoped per-workspace via roles.

Can Mirgent connect to RSS feeds and trigger posts?

Yes. Settings → Integrations → Add RSS Feed. Mirgent polls hourly (configurable). When a new item appears, you can configure: auto-draft via AI agent, queue for manual approval, or auto-post (Pro+ only, with caution). RSS-to-post is the most popular workflow on Mirgent — perfect for blogs, newsletters, and aggregator feeds.
