Facebook automation without the Meta developer app maze
Meta's developer-app approval process killed half the Facebook tools, Mirgent skips it entirely by using your existing browser session. Schedule to pages, manage groups (where allowed), reply to comments, run lead discovery via search. Same extension as the rest of Mirgent, no Meta-specific dance.
Facebook capabilities in Mirgent
Facebook automation works through your real Facebook login, page admin permissions transfer directly.
- Schedule posts to any page where you have admin / editor role
- Group posting where group rules permit (Mirgent reads group rules first)
- Comment auto-reply with AI drafts routed through your approval queue
- Lead discovery from Facebook search results across keyword queries
- Friend-request acceptance for personal-account use cases
Connect Facebook in 60 seconds
No Meta Business approval, no developer app. Just your normal Facebook login.
Install the Chrome extension and log into facebook.com
Standard browser-session setup. Use the account that has admin access to the pages/groups you want to manage.
Verify page access
Mirgent dashboard shows each page you have access to. Toggle which pages should be active in Mirgent (you can disconnect any page later).
Schedule your first post or activate Lead Hunter
Composer's Facebook tab supports text, image, video, and link previews. Lead Hunter's Facebook scope searches public posts only.
Facebook tactics that work in 2026
What still works given Facebook's organic reach decline.
- Page reach is dead but Group reach is alive. Focus on niche groups where you're a respected member; Mirgent's group-posting respects member-only rules.
- Native video > shared YouTube links. Mirgent supports direct video upload to pages, which Meta's algorithm boosts ~5× over external links.
- Comment auto-reply on your own posts (within rules), engagement increases reach. Mirgent's templates handle thank-you / follow-up / link-to-resource patterns.
- Lead discovery: search 'looking for [your service]' in your geo. Facebook still has high-intent local-services threads that LinkedIn doesn't.
Facebook FAQ
Does Mirgent need Facebook Developer App approval?
No. Mirgent uses your browser session, so Meta's developer-program approval (the painful one) doesn't apply. This is the main reason agencies switch to Mirgent for Facebook, they avoid the multi-week Meta App Review process.
Can I post to multiple Facebook pages?
Yes, every page you have admin access to appears as a separate target in the composer. Posts can fan out to all pages or be targeted to one. Per-page custom copy supported.
What about Instagram + Facebook combined posts?
Mirgent treats Instagram and Facebook as separate platforms (each with their own connection). The composer's per-platform tabs let you cross-post the same content with platform-specific formatting.
Will Mirgent work on Facebook Marketplace?
Not currently, Marketplace listing automation is on the 2026 roadmap. For now, Mirgent covers feed posts, page posts, group posts (where allowed), and comments.
Skip the Meta Developer dance
Free plan covers 3 platforms. Make Facebook one of them if your audience lives there.
